Fathers Day

I have to be in the mood to be photographed. This was not the time...

Nor was this the time, but Daddy asked me to sit still.
Since it was Father's Day I decided to listen,
but thought I'd give the "deer in the headlights" look. Did I pull it off ok?
Anyone can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad. I'm fortunate to be blessed with  an awesome daddy. I am stubborn, strong willed, and like to give Daddy a run for his money, but he stays patient with me. From my blowouts, crying, sickness, teething, temper tantrums,  breaking things, etc. he continues to love me.  He plays chase and peek a boo, wrestles, sings me songs, prays with me, teaches me about Jesus, and takes me for walks. He buys me toys, clothes, and food and is the best daddy I could ever ask for! Happy Father's Day, Daddy! I love you.

Godparents/Guardians

My Godparents/Guardians, Stephanie and Aaron Richarson

Their kitty Milo, who I love lots and lots

Mommy and Daddy told me that they have been praying and talking about who should be my Godparents.  After praying to Jesus a lot, they felt that they should ask their friends Stephanie and Aaron Richardson to become my Godparents/Guardians. Mommy and Daddy wanted a strong Christian couple who had the same faith, morals, standards, belief system, and common interests. They also wanted a couple who would actively be involved in my life while I grow up.  My parents said they wanted a couple who “would encourage Gideon in his faith and be good mentors” (I’m not sure what “mentor” means  but I heard Daddy use it a lot!). I am very excited to have Mr. Aaron and Miss Stephanie in my life. They’re so much fun to hang out with!  And their kitty Milo lets me pet and hug him, which makes me happy.

Justin McDonald

Having a staring contest
My First Build-A-Bear
My New Friend
I met my first country singer - Justin McDonald!  I'm not a fan of country music other than Johnny Cash, ( I prefer the likes of Jack Johnson, Zee Avi, and Gospel Singalongs ) however right after meeting Justin, he gave me my first Build-A-Bear!! I figured that if Justin was cool enough to buy me such a rad gift I should at least give his music a try. After listening, I decided that Justin McDonald is now on my favorites list along with Johnny Cash.  McDonald is currently recording an album but in the meantime you can hear him crooning at: http://www.myspace.com/justinsvelvetskies . Check him out!

Bubble Gun

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles
Bubble Guns rock da house. One push of the trigger and you are surrounded in bubbles!
Third time the charm, right?! At least I think that's how the saying goes... Mommy bought me my first bottle of bubbles recently. Right as she was opening the top, she lost her grip and it spilled all over her and the couch.  The second bottle she purchased came with no wand. Mommy gave up on buying a third bottle and decided to get a Bubble Gun instead. It's amazing. No huge messes, no single bubbles floating about, and no out of breath issues from trying to blow bubbles from a wand. Whoever invented the Bubble Gun was GENIUS.

Campfire

I told Mommy I wouldn't touch the fire, but she didn't believe me
We want out of here!!
I tried winning Mommy over with my magic smile, but it didn't work. So lame.
Smores and smores, oh my! If only I could have had one...I was a tad bit irritated that night. My family got to chill at the campfire and toast marshmallows while my cousin Eliza and I had to hang out in the dog pen. So NOT cool. On top of that Mommy wouldn't let me have a Smore because she said it would be an overload of sugar to my system. She gave me a graham cracker instead. I think she needs to loosen up...

Big Fall

My first big fall
OUCH! I should have obeyed Mommy... Last Friday Mommy and I were walking to our car and she was holding my hand. I saw that she had a bag in her other hand, so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to run away. Within seconds I had wiggled and twisted my hand away from hers. I had taken my first step towards freedom, when I took a nose dive head first onto the cement. NOT FUN. This picture was taken several days after my escape mission failed.
