Baking

Mommy gave these to me to lick off

I thought it would be more fun to hit them
together and have batter fly all over the place

While Mommy was cleaning up the mess,
I got into the sugar

Oooooh boy, it was sweet!

Next I got into the flour....

taste test...

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!
I better get back to helping Mommy mix
the wet and dry ingredients!
I didn't have my trusty sidekick Chael baking with me this time and so I gave Mommy a run for her money. Normally I am pretty focused on our baking projects, but this time around I thought it would be more fun to taste test sugar, flour, fling batter around and dump all the dry ingredients on the floor instead of in the bowl. Mommy tried to rescue our Banana muffins project by adding chocolate chips and walnuts to the recipe. It worked!

Here is the actual recipe:

(and then Mommy added 3/4 cup of chocolate chips and 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts.)

Baking and Crafts

My buddy Chael and I did another baking project together
Stirring the bowl to make muffins!

We helped prep for the muffin batter and also
munched on some tasty chocolate chips

Putting the last one in!

Mommy was hoping to snap photos of us
coloring and painting
our octopus's ( is that how you spell it plural?)
but two toddlers with paint brushes and orange paint = MESSY!

Here is my octopus made out of a paper towel roll!

Here is the recipe for the zucchini chocolate chip muffins! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/zucchini-chocolate-chip-muffins/detail.aspx . They were delish and we devoured them quickly. =)

Pretending to be a Professional Baker

What my pants looked like after I helped Mommy stir in the flour.
She said I may go commando next time....

Once a month Mommy and I have a Baking Day where we experiment with new recipes. I get to help her stir the bowl, eat off the spoons, and get messy. It's lots of fun! Here are the delicious recipes we used from allrecipes.com. Try them out! You won't regret it - Trust Me.

Happy Baking!!

Baking

Call me Mr. Baker

I have to test the dry ingredients to make sure
I sifted it enough.

Making sure the zucchini is fresh
I am learning how to bake! Mommy bought me my own apron and we tackled making zucchini bread together. She showed me how to mix the ingredients and shred the zucchini. It was so much fun I threw a fit when Mommy said I had to stop sifting the dry ingredients. Our bread turned out delish despite me eating a chunk of the zucchini. Here's the recipe if you'd like to make it yourself. Happy Baking!

p.s Baking tip: After shredding the zucchini, blot it with a paper towel in order to get out all the moisture.
