Christmas Tree Hunt

On the hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree
I picked this one out, but they said it was too small
Daddy showing me where we can find other trees
Come on, lets go!!!!
Daddy said this is the "Spoiled Children's" tree because
it has a lot of room for lots of presents.
Sharing some giggles with Daddy
We found it!!!
A Norwegian Fir
Our Christmas tree was quite large and full compared to what we had last year
The pros of going to a Tree Farm instead of the mountains...
Look below, to see what I mean!
This picture was taken before  the needles flew off
on our drive home last year. By the time Daddy trimmed it,
it looked like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree...

This year we were unable to make it to the mountains ( Mommy was happy - she's not a fan of snow ) to find our perfect Christmas tree so we headed to the Carnation Tree Farm instead. I had a lot of fun running around and helping Mommy and Daddy find the perfect one. Afterwards we grabbed apple cider and nibbled on some yummy baked goods. Our Christmas Tree Hunt was a success!

18 month birthday

Mommy and Daddy took me to a play area at the Bellevue Mall
to celebrate my 18 month birthday

I made a new friend while I was there.
She liked me so much she followed me
EVERYWHERE.

I had my first Cake Pop from Starbucks!
No, I am not falling asleep in this picture.
Mommy rarely lets me eat sugar, so I'm having
a sugar overload

She tried taking a bite, but I wouldn't let her!
It was so good, I ate the WHOLE thing.

I had a lot of fun celebrating my 18 month birthday! It's hard to believe that I will be 2 in less than six months. Excited to see what my 2nd birthday holds!

Carousel

My First Carousel Ride!!!
Maddie and I having a blast

The end to a perfect play date!
My friend Maddie lives far away so I was thrilled when our Mommies made plans for a play date. We met  at the Supermall and I went on my first carousel ride! Unfortunately, Mommy ran out of quarters so I couldn't go on it again. Instead, Maddie and I played pretend and took turns sitting in each ride. I can't wait for next time!

Nature Walk

Going on a Nature Walk with Mommy and Daddy,
collecting leaves and sticks

There was a sign near our beach house that
said our road was a dead end.
It was the longest dead end road we ever walked...
It kept going and going and going
Touching a fern
I found more leaves!
Still going and going and going...
One of the activities I loved doing while we were in Port Townsend  was to go for walks. One of the walks we went on, I walked about a 1/2 mile without the stroller or being carried by Mommy or Daddy. I was so tired by the end, I took a four hour nap!

IHOP

I love me some blueberry pancakes...

Grandpa and Grandma visited us recently and treated us to breakfast at IHOP. I sure like IHOP... they have so many yummy things to eat, including my favorite- blueberry pancakes. I thoroughly enjoyed them -can you tell?! Mommy thought my blueberry face was pretty funny until she realized she forgot the baby wipes...

Daddy and Me

Having a quiet moment with Daddy
looking at God's handiwork

I love spending time with my Daddy

Admiring the view

My new favorite thing to say is, "See!" and then
point to whatever it is.

Daddy pointing to the birds flying by

Daddy and Me

Hello and Goodbye!

I love my Daddy. I had a lot of fun spending time with him while we were in PortTownsend, especially when he took me outside. If Mommy and Daddy would let me, I'd stay out all day!

Beach time in November

No, I am not sitting on a beach in California or Hawaii in November.
One of the ways I like to be adventurous is by sitting in ice cold water
in Portownsend, Wa.

Mommy was afraid I would get sick or get hypothermia
so she told me I had to get out.

I'm just a tad bit wet...

One of my favorite things to do was throw rocks in the water.
Mommy and Daddy let me throw them anywhere and everywhere.
Some even landed  in my hair!

I like to test my limits - there, is this better?
I have one boot and hand on dry land....

The house that Mommy and Daddy rented for their wedding anniversary had a private little beach in their backyard. It was awesome. I had a lot of fun collecting shells, throwing rocks, and getting very very wet. When it was time to go in, I had so much water inside my boots I could hardly walk!!

Port Townsend

Port Townsend waterfront

Checking out the views
Can you see the sailboat way out there?

I love me some climbing!

TaDa! I did it!

My two favorite people in the world - Mommy and Daddy
Loving the clouds in this picture

Watching the sunset

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 4 year wedding anniversary in Port Townsend, WA. They couldn't part with me for a whole four days so they brought me along. I was very happy to join them! We took lots of pictures -so many that I will need to write a couple blog posts to record them all. These are from one of the days where we walked around the town and down to the waterfront. Beautiful, huh?!

Fireman Gideon

Meeting a fireman!

Sitting in the fire truck

Getting to touch all the buttons and levers
Fireman Gideon to the rescue!
My very first raincoat!

Fireman Gideon at your service!
I met a fireman recently and got to sit in his firetruck, which was super cool. A couple weeks later I got a surprise gift in the mail from Mommy and Daddy. I opened it up and it was my very first raincoat - a fireman raincoat!!!I was so happy and excited to wear it that I threw a fit when Mommy said I needed to take it off and get ready for bed. I am looking forward to the many rainy days ahead so I can put my raincoat to good use. Thank goodness I live in Washington!

I am a Giraffe!

"ROAR!"
Wait, what do you mean Giraffes don't make noise?!?!??!
Mommy said giraffes are quiet and look for food to eat.
Hhhmm...I don't know what I think about that.

Exploring, watching for predators,
 and searching for giraffe food
I don't think this giraffe thing is working for me.
How am I supposed to act like a giraffe if I have no neck
and can't reach the trees to eat?
Ahhh! This is more like it!
Pretending to be a giraffe is fun!
We were on vacation during Halloween so Mommy and Daddy decided to bring my giraffe costume along. After I got over the fact that giraffes are quiet creatures, I had lots of fun running around in my costume. I even got to wear it to a restaurant!
